Mission
Kasulu Health Home Based Care Organization
(KAHHOBACO) collaborates with Kigoma communities to provide integrated health
services, focusing on reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent
health (RMNCAH) care. Its programs emphasize health education, immunization,
and treatment, while advancing gender equality, environmental stewardship, and
socioeconomic empowerment, to improve patient health and community resilience.

A future where all individuals, especially women,
youth, and marginalized populations in Kigoma, have equitable access to quality
reproductive health services, evidence-based health education, and sustainable
opportunities fostering health, dignity, and socioeconomic advancement.
Executive Summary
Founded in 2004 by health professionals, faith
leaders, and community advocates, KAHHOBACO was established to address the
urgent health needs of families affected by HIV/AIDS amidst insufficient
healthcare infrastructure in Kigoma Region. The organization operates
multidisciplinary teams delivering home-based care, clinical outreach, and
community empowerment across refugee camps and host communities in Kasulu,
Buhigwe, Kibondo, and Kakonko districts.
Programs include antenatal, perinatal, and
postnatal care; HIV prevention and treatment support; nutrition interventions;
gender-based violence response; vocational training; WASH (water, sanitation,
hygiene) initiatives; environmental health; and social cohesion activities to
promote peace among refugees and host communities.

Are
Founded in 2004, our organization is a legally registered
NGO under Tanzania’s NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 (Registration No. 00NGO/R1/00162).
We are dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based health
interventions focused on HIV/AIDS care, reproductive and maternal health, child
survival, gender-based violence prevention, and environmental health in the
Kigoma region. Our commitment is to empower vulnerable communities through
compassionate and sustainable healthcare services that improve lives and foster
resilience.
